March 2009 - Peabody, Massachusetts USA

Synventive Molding Solutions today announced the appointment of Mr. Robert W. Davies as the new Synventive Chief Executive Officer. Mr Davies will be based at the company’s world headquarters in Peabody, MA.

Before joining Synventive, Mr. Davies successively served as President for Cooper Power Tools where he led the global business with 7 manufacturing sites and over 1000 employees. Prior to Cooper, Mr. Davies led Moen Industries operations in its implementation of lean manufacturing to create world class operations in Quality, Productivity and Customer Service. Through these previous roles, he demonstrated a high degree of customer focus and a deep understanding of operational excellence relating to manufacturing companies.

Mr. Davies graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and later acquired an MBA from the Wharton School of Business.

When we started the search for a CEO we were looking for someone with the leadership qualities to firmly execute Synventive’s strategy of enhancing the value and reach of our products and services to customers globally. We feel that Bob is uniquely qualified and are excited to have him leading the team” commented Chairman Steve Delaney.

Mr Davies replaces Dan Levy, who had to leave the business last October due to health reasons. Steve Delaney has been acting as interim CEO and will return to the non executive Chairman role when the appropriate transitional work is completed.
